Had a meeting at Bellevue College this afternoon and thought it was a good chance to try biking down there before classes this fall. The trip is 8.1 miles one way and it was pretty tough. The climb out of Redmond on the 520 bike trail is hard but then there’s a nice downhill break before getting off the rail and onto surface streets. Only about 1/2 mile after that didn’t have bike lanes and traffic wasn’t terrible. The rest of the way was bike lane and a gradual climb till the college.
On the way back I only rode 2.4 miles, stopped for a few groceries, then caught the B Line home. 10.5 miles was enough for one day. Maybe if I can ride three days out of the week to class, eventually I’ll be able to do both ways.
