One Rail

The monorail shot had issues. The shadows and bright light were really hard to work with but I definitely wanted to keep the contrast pretty high and stay away from graying it out. After making a full print we discovered the dark spots on the right hand side of the barrier and the white spots next to the left frame. Those were both from the negative development. I don’t remember now if I goofed during the process (very probable). But I loved that about working in the photo lab, you are totally making your own photographs and you leave your mark on them in many ways. The spots were not meant to be there of course but they’re a reminder that that print is all mine, even the mistakes.
